Exactly 4 years after the incorporation of GROUP CLUB HANDBALL EEIG (GCH) the first Professional Handball Board (PHB) meeting took place in Vienna.
This first PHB meeting finalizes a development, started 4 years ago. In 2006 according to the statutes of EHF and IHF the clubs were not existing.
GCH changed the situation significantly.
Today clubs are formally represented in various bodies of European Handball Federation (EHF) and European Handball Federation Marketing GmbH (EHFM).
In 2008 EHF established an insurance fund, compensating clubs for injured players. Since 2010 EHF pays compensation to clubs for releasing players to European Championships.
IHF announced to do the same for the first time during the World Championship in Sweden 2010.
Congratulations to all GCH member clubs! GB
